Custom software development

Custom software development for companies that outgrew off-the-shelf tools

We design, build and support the software a business runs on — internal systems, operational platforms and the integrations between them. Senior engineers only, a written fixed scope before the build, and the code, accounts and data belong to you from the first commit.

Scope

What we build

Most of our work replaces a mix of spreadsheets, inboxes and SaaS tools that no longer fit how the company operates.

01

Internal systems

Admin panels, approval flows, role-based access and reporting that replace spreadsheets and side channels.

02

Operational platforms

Jobs, orders, scheduling, estimates and invoicing in one system shaped around how your team actually works.

03

Integrations & automation

Payments, accounting, telephony, calendars and marketplaces connected so a record is entered once.

04

Customer portals

Secure areas where your customers log in to see status, documents, invoices and history.

05

Dashboards & reporting

Live dashboards over operational data instead of a weekly slide deck that is out of date on arrival.

06

Legacy replacement

Rebuilding an aging system in stages, with data migration and no big-bang cutover.

Delivery

How the project runs

The same four phases on every project. Only their length changes with scope.

1. Discovery · 1–2 weeks

Interviews with the people who will use the system, a map of the current process, a written specification and an estimate. The documents are yours even if you build elsewhere.

2. Architecture · 1–2 weeks

Data model, integrations, infrastructure and a milestone schedule. This is where the scope, price and launch date are fixed in writing.

3. Build · two-week iterations

A working demo every Friday and a staging environment you can open at any time. Changes in scope are priced and agreed before they are built.

4. Launch & support · ongoing

Deployment, handover, documentation and training, then a support arrangement sized to the business.

Pricing

How much does custom software cost?

The honest answer depends on scope, but these are the ranges we quote for US clients at 2025–26 senior remote rates. The fixed price is agreed in writing after a 1–2 week discovery.

Modules such as payments, subscriptions, dashboards, live updates or an AI assistant add to the base range. Use the configurator to see a range for your exact scope.

FAQ

Questions we are asked most

How long does custom software development take?

A focused internal system usually takes 4–8 weeks; an operational platform with integrations takes 8–12 weeks or more. Discovery and architecture take 1–2 weeks each, then we ship working software every two weeks.

Do we own the source code?

Yes. Repositories, infrastructure accounts and data are created in your name from the first commit. We are hired for continuity, not lock-in.

Do you work with US companies remotely?

Yes. We work with clients across the United States and Europe, in your business hours for calls and reviews, sign your NDA and paperwork, and communicate in English.

Fixed price or time and materials?

Both are possible. Most projects run on a fixed scope and price agreed after discovery; long-running products often move to a dedicated engineer embedded in your team.

What happens after launch?

We offer support and further development for every system we deliver: monitoring, fixes, and new features sized to the business.
